Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Basic Science, or related field.
  • 3 years increasingly responsible administrative experience.
  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Proficient with software applications stated, ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous demands and requests from faculty and department supervisor.
  • Able to efficiently meet deadlines, and be an excellent communicator who can effectively relate and understand the needs of faculty, supervisor, department administrator and chair.
  • Ability to courteously and professionally answer, screen and transfer calls, good written and English grammar skills, ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in typing and keyboarding with good accuracy rating, fundamental knowledge of letter, memo and email correspondence, excellent oral and written communication skills, professional office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Basic Science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with research processes (IRB submissions, grant tracking, data entry).
  • Experience working with budgets or purchasing systems.
  • Exposure to academic, research, or healthcare settings.
  • Prior work in a university, hospital, or scientific department environment.
  • SAP, EPIC, McKesson.
