Job summary

Robinhood in Bellevue, WA (and Menlo Park) invites you to join our Offensive Security team as an intern. You will work to hack services, models, and pipelines while gaining hands-on experience with cloud, Kubernetes, and smart contracts.

This full-time intern role requires being enrolled in a degree program with a Winter 2027/Spring 2028 graduation, and a passion for security challenges. On-site attendance is required at least three days per week. Base pay is $60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Full-time, degree-seeking student with graduation Winter 2027 / Spring 2028.
• Coursework in CS, CE, or Information Security.
• Interest in hacking challenges and CTFs.
• Experience with pentesting / application security.
• Familiarity with Linux, macOS, Go, Python.

The Offensive Security team is the central hub for Offensive Security operations and for understanding the current state of “what’s possible” and “how likely” against Robinhood people, processes, and systems.

As an Offensive Security Intern, you will work to hack all the things at Robinhood, and meaningfully contribute to the maturity of a world‑class Offensive Security program.

This role is based in our Bellevue or Menlo Park office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you bring

• Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in Winter 2027/Spring 2028.
• Coursework in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Security / Cybersecurity
• Passion for CTFs, research, and hacking challenges
• Collaboration to drive change within, and beyond the Security organization
• Basic technical experience with pentesting and/or application security
• Exposure to modern tech stacks: Linux, macOS, Go, Python

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected hourly range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
