The Office of Support Services within the Department of Corrections is seeking candidates for an OffenderInformation Specialist II to perform sentencing calculations in order to determine parole eligibility andrelease of inmates, this position will also maintain various offender inmate records.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
One year of experience in management, administration, legal, paralegal, or offender records.
NONE
Administrative, legal, paralegal, law enforcement, or offender records work experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.

Work is typically performed in an office setting.
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
