Job summary

Stone Plastics & Manufacturing in Zeeland, MI seeks a Process Technician on off shift with flexible hours to establish and document molding processes for reproducible production. You will deliver new and optimized molding processes to support successful program launches and provide needed shop floor support based on demand and customer requirements.

Candidate should be able to increase profitability by solving molding problems, ensuring equipment operates correctly, and reducing variability

Qualifications

• Degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent to injection molding preferred.
• Leadership style: self-starter, able to work with little direction and high level of self-motivation.
• Well organized project management skills; program management background a plus.
• Tooling knowledge a plus.
• Proficiency in empowerment and teamwork; standardized work; problem solving; quality improvement tools; reduction in lead time, set-up time, and scrap.
• Systematic trouble shooting experience.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to all levels of the manufacturing environment as it relates to Plastics Process, Tooling, Quality and Leadership

Responsibilities

• Establish New and Optimized Molding Processes
• Identify and Eliminate Variability
• Document molding processes to enable duplication during production
• Provide support throughout the manufacturing facility per needs and customer requirements
• Increase profitability by solving molding problems and ensuring equipment performs properly
• Mentor and coach when the established molding process is not being followed to reduce re-occurrence
