Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an entry-level Machine Technician to operate and maintain equipment, supporting safety, quality, and productivity goals. You will work with maintenance on monthly PMs and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

The role requires basic mechanical/technical background, strong communication, and the ability to read technical data and use inspection tools. Off shifts include 2nd or 3rd shift, with related responsibilities and 5S adherence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation preferred.
• 1–2 years of maintenance, mechanical, or technical field experience at MT or similar employer.
• Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, and ability to interpret technical data including drawings and OMS.
• Proficient in the use of common inspection and test equipment; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
• Operate and perform setup of at least one machine efficiently (85% or better).
• Troubleshoot equipment, controls, and sensors; assist maintenance with preventive maintenance.
• Complete routine inspections and documentation; participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Support the supervisor and department manager and adapt to shift changes as required.
• Maintain 5S practices in the department.
