Job summary

AKG North America in Mebane, NC is seeking dependable team members for OEM Final Assembler roles. You will review orders, assemble cooling packages, inspect quality, and ensure compliance with OEM specs in a safety-driven, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments is expected.
• Final assembly or OEM-specific assembly experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and OEM specs.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, drawings, and OEM specs to ensure accurate assembly.
• Assemble cooling packages and components per customer requirements.
• Inspect products during assembly to meet quality standards and OEM expectations.
• Identify and perform adjustments or repairs to meet quality standards.
• Locate and retrieve parts required for final assembly.
• Attach and secure components according to specs and procedures.
• Move cooling packages safely using manual methods or lifting equipment.
• Read and follow detailed work instructions and OEM specifications.
• Communicate issues and collaborate with team members.
• Work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Review work orders, engineering drawings, and OEM specifications to ensure accurate assembly
• Assemble cooling packages and components to meet customer-specific requirements and tolerances
• Inspect products throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with quality standards and OEM expectations
• Identify and perform necessary adjustments or repairs to meet both internal and customer quality standards
• Locate, verify, and retrieve parts required for final assembly
• Attach and secure all components according to detailed specifications and procedures
• Safely move cooling packages to and from workstations using manual methods or lifting equipment
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and OEM specifications
• Understanding of customer-specific requirements and quality expectations
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and production documentation
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to use measuring tools
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment
• Effective communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is required
• Previous experience in final assembly or OEM-specific assembly is preferred
• Ability to work the assigned shift consistently
• Ability to meet attendance requirements as outlined in AKG's Employee Information Handbook
• Ability to sit approximately 30%, walk 65%, and stand 5% of the workday
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds approximately 20% of the time
• Ability to safely operate equipment including chain hoists, pallet jacks, saws, and power tools
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses
