Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an OEM Engineer to support the OEM Mechanical Engineer on design projects for seed handling conveyors, bulk systems, and seed treating equipment. You will produce drawings, models, BOMs, and other files, and lead smaller projects from direction through completion.

Responsibilities include Creo model creation and production drawings, part numbering, BOM management, and collaboration with Purchasing, Production, and vendors to source parts and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Engineering, mechanical design, drafting, or related education/experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Creo for 3D modeling, drawings, revisions; AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise models, production drawings, cut files, drawings, and exploded views using Creo.
• Assign and create part numbers and BOMs following KSi protocols; support manuals and documentation.

The OEM Engineeris responsible for supporting the OEM Mechanical Engineer with mechanicaldesign projects and engineering work related to seed handling conveyors, bulksystems, and seed treating equipment. This position is responsible forproducing drawings, models, BOMs, and other engineering files, as well astaking ownership of smaller engineering projects from initial direction throughcompletion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workthrough engineering tasks and projects assigned by the OEM Mechanical Engineer,communicate status updates, and raise questions or roadblocks in a timelymanner.
• Createand revise models, production drawings, cut files, drawing revisions, explodedviews, and other engineering files using Creo.
• Assignand create part numbers, BOM’s by following and staying within KSi definedprotocol for new part creations
• Assistwith manual creation of new products / maintenance of manuals for existingproducts by providing written content, drawings, etc.
• Completeassigned engineering changes, including change requests, ECNs, and drawingrevisions, in a timely manner and in accordance with KSi standards andprocedures.
• Takeownership of smaller engineering projects from initial direction throughcompletion, including researching options, developing solutions, coordinatingdetails, and preparing required drawings and files.
• Collaboratewith Purchasing, Production, Sales, Marketing, and external vendors to supportpart sourcing and development, resolve manufacturing or assembly issues, andprovide technical product information as needed.
• Collaboratewith other members of the Engineering team and provide drawing/modeling supportoutside assigned projects as workload requires.
• Supporttroubleshooting and product issue resolution by researching the issue, updatingdrawings or documentation, and coordinating with the appropriate internalteams.
• Maintainorganized, accurate engineering files and documentation and complete assignedwork with attention to detail and timeliness.

Requirements

• Engineering,mechanical design, drafting, related education and/or relevant hands-onexperience preferred.
• Proficiencyin Creo for 3D modeling, production drawings, drawing revisions, explodedviews, and related engineering documentation strongly preferred. Experiencewith AutoCAD is a plus.
• Abilityto take general direction, research options, work through details, andindependently move assigned tasks and smaller projects toward completion.
• Abilityto manage multiple assignments and priorities while producing accurate work ina fast-paced environment.
