Job summary

FleetPride, the nation’s largest distributor of heavy-duty parts, seeks an OEM Sales Representative to drive growth with OEM customers. You will make outbound calls, attend trade shows, review purchase history, and develop tailored programs to expand FleetPride’s market share.

The role demands strong communication and negotiation skills, 2+ years in sales or admin support, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years in an administrative role and 2 years in sales or high-level customer service.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound sales calls to prospects and OEM accounts.
  • Prospect for new OEM customers through cold calling and other outlets.
  • Attend trade shows as an OEM Sales Representative for FleetPride.
  • Review customer purchase history to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop customer-specific programs and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the OEM sales group to market new products.
  • Handle inbound overflow customer calls and provide service.
  • Contact house accounts monthly to promote special offers.
  • Provide customers with product and service information.
  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using computer systems.
  • Follow up on unresolved customer inquiries.
  • Complete call logs and reports.
  • Create and maintain daily order reports.

Essential Tasks
  • Make outbound sales calls.
  • Prospect for new OEM customers through cold calling and other media outlets.
  • Attend trade shows as an OEM Sales Representative and represent FleetPride.
  • Review customer purchase history to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop customer-specific programs and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the OEM sales group to develop and market new products.
  • Handle inbound overflow customer calls and provide appropriate service.
  • Contact house accounts monthly to promote management-approved special offers.
  • Provide customers with product and service information.
  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using computer systems.
  • Follow up on unresolved customer inquiries.
  • Complete call logs and reports.
  • Create and maintain daily order reports.
  • Update and upload customer pricing matrices and maintain pricing expiration dates.
  • Identify and report trends in customer calls to management.
  • Process IBTs and special orders.
  • Cross-reference, interchange, analyze, and proof marketing materials.
  • Update inventory databases for all warehouses, including weight, part type, and minimum levels.
  • Track customer orders.
  • Process customer credit requests.
  • Generate customer thank-you letters.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new team members.

Reach above shoulder height, below the waist, and lift items as needed to file documents and store materials. Demonstrate hand and finger dexterity to operate computers, keyboards, mice, and other equipment. Occasionally lift moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals. Sit for extended periods of time.

Work primarily in a standard office environment with ambient room temperatures, normal lighting, and traditional office equipment.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales capacity providing high-level customer service. Prior customer service experience preferred.
