Job summary

SET Environmental Inc is seeking an Odorant Program Manager in the Chicago area to lead safety and quality across the odorant decommissioning program. The role includes technical consultation for field projects, design support, and overseeing equipment readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering preferred.
  • 8+ years in utilities, natural gas transmission, or pipeline fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Self-starter with initiative.
  • Able to collaborate, take initiative and adapt priorities.
  • Knowledge of DOT, RCRA, and TSCA regulations is desired.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Background check and drug/alcohol screening required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and safety continuity for odorant decommissioning.
  • Consult on technical issues for field service projects.
  • Consult on odorant decommissioning project and design.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance/readiness for odorant decommissioning.
  • Lead project prep including scopes, site visits, cost estimates, safety plans.
  • Evaluate and maintain financial performance of the odorant service line.
  • Willing to work alongside technicians on projects.
  • Provide technical support to team members as needed.
  • Collaborate with field staff engineers, project teams, and field crews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
