Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse for an Odessa, Texas assignment. The role focuses on operating room support, including circulating and scrub duties, with 40 hours per week for a 13-week duration.

Immediate opening with emphasis on patient safety and coordination with the surgical team. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with 1–2 years of acute care RN experience in circulating or scrub roles preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications may be required
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and administer medications as prescribed
• Serve as liaison between patient families and operating room team
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and home needs
