Job summary

SYSTRA USA is seeking an OCS Junior Engineer in the System and Power Sector to help drive client projects in transportation infrastructure. You will join a world-class team of engineers, designers, drafters and others to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, and a willingness to learn OCS design, with collaboration across civil and structural teams and site assessments.

• Demonstrated interest in OCS systems design and transit industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the OCS Design Manager.
• Contribute to the management of OCS activities under supervision.
• Contribute to the production of OCS drawings.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to strengthen knowledge in integration and design.
• Prepare design reports and develop documents, including specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Create calculation tools.
• Collaborate with civil and structural engineers to integrate OCS designs into transportation infrastructure.
• Conduct site assessments and inspections to validate design assumptions.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, standards, and best practices in all design and installation processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends related to overhead catenary systems.
• Contribute to the compilation and submission packages.

Missions/Main Duties

• Assist the OCS Design Manager
• Contribute to the management of OCS activities under supervision.

• Participate in project meetings
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, standards, and best practices in all design and installation processes
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to overhead catenary systems
• Contribute to the compilation and submission packages

Salary Range: $68,000-82,000, SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
