Job summary

New Wave People, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect/Specialist to design, implement, and operate enterprise OCI environments supporting PeopleSoft and Oracle technologies.

You will lead migration from on-premises to OCI, build OKE clusters, and implement automation with Terraform and Ansible, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and security.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of cloud, infrastructure engineering, or technical architecture experience.
• Minimum of three years of hands-on OCI architecture, engineering, or administration experience.
• Experience migrating PeopleSoft and Oracle middleware workloads to OCI.
• Strong knowledge of OCI networking, compute, storage, IAM, DNS, monitoring, logging, backup, security, and disaster recovery.
• OCI professional-level certification is strongly preferred.
• Available to support production implementations outside normal business hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, secure, automate, and support OCI environments.
• Assess current on-premises environment and develop target-state OCI architecture.
• Migrate application, middleware, database, integration, identity-management, and content-management components to OCI.
• Configure OCI compute, storage, networking, load balancing, DNS, IAM, security, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Design, build, and support OKE clusters and containerized workloads.
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, scripting, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with application development, PeopleSoft administration, database, middleware, network, cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams.
• Participate in architecture reviews, environment builds, migration testing, production cutovers, disaster recovery exercises, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, technical designs, migration plans, build procedures, configuration documents, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
