Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP seeks a Principal to grow our Office of the CFO (OCFO) Advisory practice. This role blends deep finance expertise with business development to strengthen client CFO organizations and lead high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate partners with CFOs, PE sponsors, and portfolio executives to drive growth, enhance reporting, and navigate complex transactions. Expect leadership, mentorship, and high-impact client engagement across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred; CFA, MBA, or other credentials are a plus.
• 15+ years of experience across audit, accounting advisory, consulting, transaction advisory, and/or Office of the CFO services.

Responsibilities

• Lead Office of the CFO engagements across industries and environments.
• Advise CFOs, finance leaders, PE sponsors, and portfolio teams.
• Lead finance transformation, process improvement, and reporting modernization.
• Guide acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.
• Support due diligence readiness, accounting assessments, and integration planning.
• Help design scalable finance organizations to support growth and complexity.
• Oversee SEC reporting and IPO readiness when needed.
• Deliver insights to improve financial and operational performance.
• Expand relationships and drive revenue growth across Baker Tilly’s advisory platform.
• Mentor teams and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
