Job summary

Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to support hotel departments with the receipt, verification and processing of all goods received. You will coordinate with Food & Beverage leadership to ensure products meet quality standards and hotel needs.

Requirements include 1–2 years of shipping/receiving experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong verbal/written communication skills.

Qualifications

• One to two years of shipping and/or receiving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills needed to order hotel’s required items.
• Ability to stand and move for up to 5 hours and reach other departments as needed.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Hotel Departments and guests in their shipping and receiving needs.
• Verify and process all goods received by the hotel.
• Monitor grades and quality of products received to meet hotel standards.
• Participate in monthly departmental meetings in Food & Beverage.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
