Job summary

The Newport Oceanfront Inn on the Oregon Coast is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain the property, including the hotel, pool, and surrounding areas. You will perform basic upkeep such as painting, plumbing, HVAC, and related maintenance tasks, using common hand tools.

Ideal candidates bring a positive outlook, eye for detail, and clear communication with staff. Part-time and full-time roles are available, with competitive pay and benefits as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ideal Maintenance Technician candidates will have a positive outlook that is felt by guests and coworkers.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques to maintain a physical structure of hotel
• Ability to communicate with all staff on items that need to be fixed, replaced, etc.
• Candidates with multi-unit property experience preferred.
• Good attendance

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs
• Learn emergency procedures.
