1 Legacy, Inc is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract or longer in Alameda, California. Occupational Therapist (Fulltime, 13 weeks or longer)
Provides differential diagnosis for patients with functional disorders. Includes writing reports to contracted facilities and patients’ physicians. Plans, organizes, and conducts therapy programs in hospital, institutional, or community settings to rehabilitate those impaired by illness, injury, psychological or developmental problems. Assists patients, families, and restorative personnel to obtain information regarding the specific disorder(s) while in rehabilitation to facilitate recovery. Interacts regularly with other rehabilitation team members and nursing staff on the patients’ treatment plan, progress, and prognosis. Evaluates patient progress and prepares detailed reports. Ensures required documentation is completed and placed timely. Tests and evaluates physical and mental abilities, analyzes medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals.
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Occupational Therapy or related field and five years of experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Occupational Therapy or related field and no experience may be acceptable. Licensed Occupational Therapist for the State of California.
