Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Midwest City, OK is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our Rehab team in a skilled nursing facility. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' daily living activities and overall rehabilitation goals.

This full-time position emphasizes collaboration with therapists and staff, thorough documentation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current state licensure or certification as an OTA.
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans as developed by the Occupational Therapist and assist patients with therapeutic activities.
Participate in patient evaluations and maintain accurate documentation of care and progress.
Collaborate with the OT and other professionals to coordinate patient care and communicate progress.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols and maintain licensure through ongoing education.
Assist with scheduling and management of therapy equipment and contribute to program development.
