Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care Execution: Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, execute therapeutic plans, teach patients how to use adaptive equipment, guide exercises, and engage in activities essential for recovery.
• Activity and Program Planning: Contribute to planning and selecting therapeutic activities tailored to each patient’s needs and interests, applying creative and practical approaches to meet therapeutic goals.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document patient progress, observe changes, report findings to the therapist, and adjust interventions to ensure continuous improvement.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families about the therapy process, adaptive equipment use, and home modifications to support long-term recovery and independence.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
