Job summary

Devine Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will provide person-centered therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, following physician orders in a skilled nursing facility setting. Texas license and COTA credential are required.

SNF/LTC experience preferred, with knowledge of Net Health EHR. Strong communication and teamwork help us deliver high-quality care and improve residents’

• Active Texas OT license is required.
• COTA credential is required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to work under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments under physician orders.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT to residents/patients.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the OT.
• Deliver treatments per the plan of care and document progress.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor responses to treatment and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner per policy and regulations.
• Attend required rehab department meetings.

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Or Long-term Care Experience Preferred
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
• Experience With Net Health Electronic Documentation System Preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
