Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services in Richmond, VA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility. The role supports planning, organizing, developing, and directing OT services to ensure high-quality resident care.

You will screen residents, implement treatment plans, document and bill services, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Eligible candidates hold an OTA license and an Associate’s degree, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Must have active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine interventions based on scope of practice.
• Perform treatment plans and support short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with team members.
• Conduct therapy and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
• Perform other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards of practice daily.

Job Position

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type

Full Time, Part Time or PRN positions available

Job Purpose

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice




• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist




• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members




• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members




• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services




• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients




• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy




• MUST have active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice




• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
