Job summary

Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia is seeking a caring Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Rehab Team. This full-time role may include PRN options for new grads, with responsibilities to support the OT and rehab team in providing quality patient care.

The OTA will implement treatment plans, collaborate with the rehab team, supervise tests and evaluations, and educate patients and families on therapy techniques. Pennsylvania licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Pennsylvania (PA).
• Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist.
• Works with the rehabilitation team to implement programs tailored to each patient’s needs and capabilities.
• Acts as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients, families, and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under supervision.

Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a 123-bed skilled and long-term care facility located in the University City area. We are looking for a caring and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our Rehab Team!

Job Responsibilities

1. 1. Implements the patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist.
2. 2. Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient
3. 3. Acts as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist when the Occupational Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures
4. 4. Instructs patients, families, and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
5. 4. Perform other duties as assigned and required to provide quality care to residents.

Qualifications

1. 1. Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
2. 2. Must be licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.
