Job summary

MedQuest Health Services, Inc. in Torrance, CA seeks an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team and work closely with Occupational Therapists to provide therapy and support for patients.

You will follow plans of care, assist with adaptive devices, and maintain therapy spaces and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong time management, excellent customer service, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• Experience in an occupational therapy setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are important.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow plans of care for patients under your supervision.
• Assist patients with adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and activities of daily living.
• Support Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain therapy equipment and materials daily.
• Attend care plan meetings, provide input, and review patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes.
