Job summary

PruittHealth Corporation is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Services team in Franklin. You will support the execution of OT care plans, perform clinical tasks, and document care in a timely, accurate manner.

Qualifications include a ACOTE-accredited program, NBCOT eligibility or pass, and active licensure in the state of practice. We value patient-centered care and provide development opportunities and merit-based growth.

Qualifications

• Valid professional license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited school and eligible to take or has passed NBCOT.
• Proficiency in documenting and communicating patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician.
• Perform clinical tasks and document tasks timely and accurately.
• Follow established policies and procedures related to the scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete required orientation, in-services, and trainings; perform other duties as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan and treatment to patients as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician according to the State Practice Acts
• Perform clinical tasks, and communicate and document tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care
• Complete all required orientation, in-services, and trainings successfullyPerform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional license in the state of practice
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited school and eligible to take or has passed the NBCOT exam. If foreign-trained, must meet the same qualifications as U.S. educational program requirements
