Job summary

FOX Rehabilitation in Dover, DE is seeking licensed Occupational Therapy Assistants to deliver one-on-one, in-home care through our Geriatric House Calls model.

As an OTA you’ll work with a supervising OT to implement personalized treatment plans, guide patients through exercises, document visits, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support aging adults at home.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid OT Aide license in the practicing state or be eligible to obtain one.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized treatment plans established by your supervising OT, adjusting activities based on patient progress.
• Instruct, motivate, and safeguard patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Document visits accurately and on time within FOX’s EMR system per Clinical Documentation standards.
• Coordinate with patients, POAs, and community referrals, and assist with coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• ValidOccupational Therapy Assistantlicense in the state(s) of practice, or eligibility to obtain

Physical Requirements

FOXOTAs must be able to meet the physical demands of in-home and community-based care, including:

• Exerting medium physical effort: lifting 25–50lbsoccasionally, 10–25lbsfrequently, and up to 10lbsconstantly
• Performing CPR
• Providing moderate to maximumassistancewith patient transfers and bed mobility, including repositioning a bed-bound patient alone
• Standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and extensive walking
• Performing repetitive movements of the upper extremities
• Driving to patient homes and senior living communities as part of the Geriatric House Calls model
• Wearing PPE whenrequired
