Job summary

ECMC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for a full-time, day-shift on-site role. The OTA will implement prescribed OT plans for acute and long-term care, supervise students, and contribute to program development within Rehabilitation.

Required NYS OTA license, NBCOT certification within a year, and BLS; additional BEWD safety training may be needed for inpatient behavioral health. ECMCC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Possession of New York State OTA license at time of appointment and maintenance thereafter.
• Possession of NBCOT certification within one year of appointment and maintenance thereafter.
• Be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) within sixty days of appointment and maintain throughout.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatment programs per physician referral and rehab goals.
• Instruct and supervise technical staff and students in treatment procedures.
• Evaluate data, set treatment goals, and document patient progress in reports.
• Assist in planning OT programs for disability groups and maintain equipment.
• Perform ADL assessments and verify OT orders for care plans.
