Sigma Health Rehab in Queensbury, NY is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to work in a skilled nursing facility. We are offering a $4,000 sign-on bonus and provide a comprehensive benefits package.

Graduate of an accredited OTA program with NY license or licensure progress is required; SNF/geriatric experience preferred. Join our team of therapists and collaborate with the OT to achieve rehab goals in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current New York State OTA license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care settings preferred; new grads with relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities following the plan of care by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Assist residents in daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance, encourage progress, and document as needed.

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking aFull-timeOccupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to work in aSkilled Nursing Facility.

COTA Requirements Include:

• Graduate of an accredited OTA Program
• Current New York State OTA License
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant experience

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Select therapy activities that follow the plan of care set out by the supervising occupational therapist
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities, provide encouragement and document on residents as needed.
• Teach residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• collaborate with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members
• Current evidence-based practices consistent with the standards and recommendations of the American Occupational Therapy Association
