We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in a home health setting in the Greater Las Vegas area. COTA Responsibilities:

• Treat pediatric patients using therapeutic activities to improve function, under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist (OTR).
• Monitor and encourage patients during activities to ensure correct performance.
• Participate in meetings and case conferences for coordinated care planning.
• Document patient progress weekly in the company’s EMR system.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques under supervision of the OT.
• Demonstrate exercises to improve daily task performance and pain relief.
• Complete clinical notes promptly and accurately.
• Verify client information and review medical histories to ensure proper treatment.
• Follow treatment plans and teach techniques for mobility and muscle stretching.
• Monitor activities and report issues to the therapist.
• Maintain comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy records.
• Record billing information for services provided.
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Adhere to professional standards, policies, and legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current NV Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• At least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current CPR certification.
• Willingness to participate in continued education.
• Valid State driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
