Job summary

Powerback seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement therapy programs, follow recovery plans, and deliver treatments in facility settings. You will help patients regain independence and work under the Director of Rehab while prioritizing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program (AOTA/ACOTE standards).
• Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities per recovery plans.
• Deliver therapy treatments to help patients regain function and independence.
• Collaborate with the rehab team and support patient-centered goals.
• Maintain compassionate, patient-focused care to promote optimal outcomes.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments.

You are a healer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work.

You are equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.

You are adaptable to the needs of the patient and can find joy in the variety of the work and the settings.

You are a teammate and are looking for collaboration with your peers, but you're also happy to make referrals to help your patient get the care they need to thrive.
