Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation in Rutland, Vermont is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-facility rehab team. You will implement Occupational Therapy Assistant programs, follow established recovery plans, and deliver therapy to patients, helping them regain independence.

You’ll work under the Director of Rehab, collaborate with peers, and benefit from our mentorship culture and commitment to growth. This role supports patient-centered care in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
• Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• They must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities and follow developed recovery plans.
• Deliver therapy treatments and support patients toward independence.
• Collaborate with the rehab team and refer patients as needed.
• Provide patient-centered, compassionate care.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.

You're adaptable to the needs of the patient and can find joy in the variety of the work and the settings.
