Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement OT programs, follow recovery plans, and deliver compassionate therapy in facility settings under the Director of Rehab.

You will contribute to restoring patients’ independence, collaborate with caregivers, and help families understand care goals while benefiting from mentorship, continuing education, and growth opportunities across the Powerback network.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
  • Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • They must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy programs and activities as part of recovery plans.
  • Deliver therapy treatments and monitor patient progress in in-facility care.
  • Collaborate with the rehab team and refer to other care as needed to support patient goals.
  • Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach focused on independence.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
