Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver in-facility therapy, implement treatment plans, and support patient recovery across various care settings.

You will work under the Director of Rehab, collaborating with clinicians to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life. Strong communication and compassionate care are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
• Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Help patients get well by implementing occupational therapy programs and activities.
• Follow recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments.
• Collaborate with a care team to support patient goals and independence.
• Communicate with patients and families to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care across in-facility settings.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments.

You're a healer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.

You're adaptable to the needs of the patient and can find joy in the variety of the work and the settings.

You're a teammate and are looking for collaboration with your peers, but you're also happy to make referrals to help your patient get the care they need to thrive.
