Job summary

Powerback is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients in facility-based rehabilitation. You will implement OT programs, follow established recovery plans, and deliver therapy to help individuals regain function and independence.

Reporting to the Director of Rehab, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain compassionate, patient-centered care for adults and children in various care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to ACOTE standards.
• Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
• Follow developed recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments.
• Collaborate with the rehab team to support patient independence.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments.

You’re a healer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work.

You’re equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is to execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
