Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the Therapy Services team in Florida. The role supports the occupational therapy care plan, delivers prescribed treatments, and collaborates with the supervising therapist and physician.

Qualifications

• Valid professional licensure in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an ACOTE‑accredited program and eligible to take NBCOT.
• If trained abroad, must meet U.S. program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing the occupational therapy care plan as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician.
• Perform clinical tasks and document them timely and accurately.
• Follow policies and procedures related to scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete orientation, in-services, and trainings successfully.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan and treatment to patients as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician according to the State Practice Acts
• Perform clinical tasks, and communicate and document tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care
• Complete all required orientation, in-services, and trainings successfully
• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional license in the state of practice
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited school and eligible to take or has passed the NBCOT exam. If foreign-trained, must meet the same qualifications as U.S. educational program requirements
