Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Services team in Florida. You will support treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with therapists to deliver patient-centered care.

Competitive compensation up to $100,000 annually, with merit increases and a supportive environment. Qualifications include state licensure, ACOTE-accredited education, and NBCOT eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as COTA is required.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited program; NBCOT eligibility.
• Experience in therapy settings is a plus.

• Assist in executing the occupational therapy care plan as prescribed.
• Document tasks accurately and communicate progress timely.
• Follow policies and procedures related to scope of practice.
• Identify priorities in patient care and respond appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan and treatment to patients as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician according to the State Practice Acts
• Perform clinical tasks, and communicate and document tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care
• Complete all required orientation, in-services, and trainings successfully
• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional license in the state of practice
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited school and eligible to take or has passed the NBCOT exam. If foreign-trained, must meet the same qualifications as U.S. educational program requirements
