Job summary

Stonehenge of Orem in Orem, UT is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for our in-house rehab program. You will conduct screenings, plan and deliver rehabilitative interventions, and support patients’ recovery within a post-acute, geriatric care setting.

Licensed OTA is required; new grads are welcome to join our dedicated team. The facility offers a supportive work environment with CAPLICO values and growth opportunities within Ensign Services.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders; develop care plans
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments
• Assist with standing/walking; assist with lifting, transferring, repositioning as needed
• Administer procedures in the rehab plan including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, devices, and wound care
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other providers
• Generate discharge summaries compliant with regulatory requirements

Stonehenge of Orem in Orem, UT, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Open to Occupational Therapy Assistant at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
