Job summary

People Well Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a permanent position in La Mesa, CA. You will work in a Skilled Nursing Facility under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, delivering hands-on therapy to support daily activities and functional performance.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited OTA program, hold a CA COTA license (or be eligible), and maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active CA COTA license in good standing, or eligibility for licensure.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the employer.
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic activities, ADL training, functional tasks, strengthening, and coordination.
• Monitor patient response and communicate progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers within the established plan of care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
