Falcon Pointe Post Acute in Katy, TX, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab program on a full-time or part-time schedule. The team emphasizes compassionate geriatric care and collaborative clinical practice.

The OTA license is required; new grads welcome. You will conduct screenings, develop care plans, provide treatment, and contribute to discharge summaries while adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning issues and/or wound care.
• Deliver skilled rehabilitation and medically necessary interventions.
• Assist with standing, walking, lifting, and repositioning as needed.
• Administer procedures in the rehab plan, including exercises and modalities.
• Provide guidance to patients, families and caregivers about physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries compliant with regulations and clinical standards.

Falcon Pointe Post Acute in Katy, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking Full Time and Part Time Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications
