Job summary

A prominent medical university in Syracuse is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to complete treatment evaluations and assist in planning within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department. The position requires an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy, a NYS OTA license, and at least 2 years of clinical experience. Responsibilities include attending rounds and documenting patient information while also supervising OTA students. This role entails a work schedule of M-F with rotating holidays and weekends.

• Attend designated clinics, rounds and conferences and render patient information, and complete appropriate documentation.
• Provide in-service education and community education within the scope of knowledge base.
• Adhere to supervisory plan.
• Clinically supervise OTA SL1, OTA students, Rehab Therapy USTs, and volunteers.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, NYS O.T.A. license and registration, and 2 years eligible clinical experience required.

Candidates who possess an Associates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, NYS license or Limited Permit or eligible and less than 2 years experience will be considered for entry level (SL1) position at a commensurate salary.

CPR certification required at time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

Work Days: M-F 8-4:30 rotating holidays and weekends.
