Responsibilities

• Treat patients with orthopedic diagnoses and conditions affecting functional independence.
• Address activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, and manual techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals.

What you’ll Do:

• Treat patients with a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, including post-operative conditions, upper-extremity injuries, stroke, balance and coordination impairments, and other conditions affecting functional independence.
• Address activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, manual techniques, and other evidence-based interventions within the OT scope of practice.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term wellness.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals and community partners.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented clinical environment.
