Job summary

Westminster Towers Orlando is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the Health Center. The role includes documenting care plans and participating in program development.

The schedule is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with weekend availability required. Florida licensure is required; a Master's degree is preferred and two years of SNF or related clinical experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field and two (2) years clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or medically related area.
• State of Florida professional licensure.
• Master of Science degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, identify and treat physical and cognitive deficits that interfere with the resident's ability to perform daily life activities. Follow recommendations on MD's orders.
• Design restorative programs and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Develop and enter Care Plans in the system for each of the resident's needs. Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
• Perform Resident Home Assessments as part of the discharge process.
• Perform Resident's screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy.
