Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a contract, school-based role in California. This full-time position (40 hours/week) supports elementary students as they build motor, sensory, and self-care skills to thrive academically and socially.

You'll collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to design and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals, monitor progress, and provide clear documentation and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current, valid OT license required.
• Experience with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Familiarity with educational settings and IEP processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess student needs and develop individualized interventions.
• Organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations for elementary students.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on IEP goals.
• Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate therapy strategies in the classroom.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation and provide regular progress reports.
• Educate staff and families about strategies to support student development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning.
