Job summary

Pellahealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist responsible for evaluation, planning and directing therapy modalities as prescribed by a physician. You will administer treatments, coordinate staff, and participate in CQI activities to improve departmental performance.

Success requires Iowa OT licensure, an approved OT program, and strong communication. Candidates should be prepared to work within budget guidelines and ensure accurate patient charges.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa Occupational Therapy licensure or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
• AHA Heart Code BLS certification required; new employees certify within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, direct and administer occupational therapy modalities as prescribed by a physician.
• Assist patients to reach maximum performance while living within functional limits.
• Coordinate, delegate and supervise supportive staff and participate in CQI activities.
• Contribute to budget formulation and monitor department performance versus budget.
