Job summary

Dignity Health's Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life. You will assess a variety of patients, develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Thorough documentation and motivating care are expected in a high-volume setting. Requirements include CA OT licensure, BLS/CPR, and a strong ability to organize care across phases of treatment, with discharge planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from AMA/ACME-approved program; experience in physical disabilities in hospital or SNF.
• CA licensure as Occupational Therapist on hire.
• CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.).
• Develop individualized treatment plans with goals, frequency and duration.
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations; document with SOAP notes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and document thoroughly.
• Discharge planning with written instructions for next level of care.
