Qualifications

  • Must hold valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in California.
  • Registered with the National Board Certification Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Experience in school or pediatric occupational therapy.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at E‑Therapy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing occupational therapy services to students in PreK‑12 schools, helping them achieve their developmental, educational, and functional goals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Implement evidence‑based occupational therapy interventions to address students' specific needs and promote skill development.
  • Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and other school staff regarding strategies to promote students' participation and success in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students' academic and functional needs.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' education plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Must hold valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state in which you live in in which you are practicing.
  • Must be Registered with the National Board Certification Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Passionate about working with K‑12 students
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, computer skills (including email/ and Microsoft teams)
  • Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, handwriting without tears, and other therapeutic modalities (preferred).
