The role focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within a 123-bed facility that provides short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term care in Winchester, MA.

Job Summary

Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist/Registered to join our therapy team. Our 123-bed facility provides short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing services, and long-term care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality occupational therapy services while promoting patient independence, rehabilitation outcomes, and excellence in resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients while promoting excellence in rehabilitation care and interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Evaluate patients in a timely manner and develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Provide treatment according to established plans of care.
• Communicate and collaborate with other disciplines and facility staff to support quality patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and treatment according to Medicare, facility, and applicable payer guidelines.
• Participate in family conferences as requested.
• Complete and submit required documentation and treatment charges accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in consultations, patient and family education, and interdisciplinary communication as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts State License as an Occupational Therapist.
• Ability to evaluate and assess patients and develop appropriate individualized treatment plans.
• Ability to participate in consultations, teaching, and meetings with residents, families, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic and cooperative interdisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to distribute workload equitably according to the needs of the department and individual staff responsibilities.
