The OT evaluates, plans, and administers treatment to residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues in a skilled nursing setting in California. Responsibilities include testing, interpreting results, providing direct clinical care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and facilitating safe discharges with adaptive tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current California license to practice Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Administer and interpret tests for muscle strength, ROM, coordination and respiratory function.
• Provide direct clinical treatment per a care plan and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with adaptive tools and ensure patient safety and discharge planning.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
