Job summary

Hireology is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis in Texas. You will evaluate daily activities, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance residents’ independence and safety.

The role requires an active Texas OT license, experience in skilled nursing or long-term care, and knowledge of OT treatment practices. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas OT license.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to evaluate their condition and its impact on daily occupations.
• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize ADLs/IADLs.
• Assess home environments and recommend modifications based on needs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety.
• Ensure treatments are delivered per plan of care and regulations.
• Monitor patient response and modify interventions with the team.
• Provide clinical education and support to patients, family, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with policies.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life

• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results

• Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)

• Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities

• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care

• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

• Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
