Job summary

Hireology is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis in Texas. The OT will support residents’ independence, safety and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and targeted ADL/IADL goals.

The role requires an active Texas OT license, SNF or long-term care experience preferred, and proficiency with Net Health EDS. Strong collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and flexible scheduling are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine impact on daily occupations, safety and independence.
• Assess test results and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maximize ADLs and IADLs through therapeutic techniques.
• Modify interventions in collaboration with the rehab team.
• Provide education to patients, families and caregivers.
• Document thoroughly and timely per policies and regulations.
• Attend required rehab department meetings.

Join Our Team as a (PRN) Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life

• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results

• Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)

• Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities

• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care

• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

• Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
