Job summary

Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN to join our team. You will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on therapy to promote independence and recovery.

You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team in a 175+ bed acute-care setting. The role emphasizes patient education, discharge planning, and adherence to HCA policies.

Qualifications

  • BLS within 30 days of start date.
  • OTR - Occupational Therapist Registered.

Responsibilities

  • Complete interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment as part of a team using age‑specific competencies.
  • Participate in conferences with physicians and other therapy team members.
  • Complete patient and family education.
  • Complete discharge planning in conjunction with the therapy team.
  • Complete documentation of evaluation results, treatment plans, and patient progress per guidelines.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and time management in daily duties.
  • Lead and participate in Performance Improvement activities as needed.
  • Adhere to the hospital Code of Conduct and organizational policies.

Your role will include:
  1. Complete interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment as part of a team using age‑specific competencies.
  2. Participate in conferences with physicians and other members of the therapy team.
  3. Complete patient and family education.
  4. Complete discharge planning in conjunction with the therapy team.
  5. Complete documentation of evaluation results, treatment plans, and patient progress per HCA guidelines.
  6. Meet the personal and practical needs of patients, families, and other customers of FPH as described in "Patients First Service". Use appropriate & effective communication skills.
  7. Accept accountability for completion of assignments, demonstrate reliability & dependability (including compliance with the attendance policy), and utilize time and material cost‑effectively.)
  8. Continue self‑development, provide leadership & actively participate in Performance Improvement Activities.
  9. Reflect HCA values, policies and procedures, and its ethical and compliance principles in daily activities (Code of Conduct).
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (OTR) Occupational Therapist Registered
  • Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree, or Doctorate Degree
