Job summary

Beaumont Nursing and Rehab in Texas seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) on a PRN basis. The role focuses on independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assess patients, develop plans, and provide education to patients and families. Prior SNF exposure and Texas OT licensure are valued assets.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Occupational Therapy license in good standing.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
  • Familiarity with Net Health documentation systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with patients to evaluate their daily living impact.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize ADLs/IADLs.
  • Assess home environments and recommend adaptations.
  • Provide training on adaptive equipment and safety.
  • Document treatments thoroughly and timely per policy.

Join Our Team as a (PRN) Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life

  • Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results

  • Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)

  • Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities

  • Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety

  • Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

  • Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

  • Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care

  • Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

  • Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures

  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license

  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

  • Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

  • Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

  • Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision‑making skills
